We value the quiet character of our neighborhoods. I’d prefer that the City regards us as a separate entity from Eastown. We do not support creating more dense housing here, be it in the form of adding “mother-in-law” structures, small homes, or converting more single-family units to multi-family. The campus and hospital can create enough of a demand for on-street parking, without adding higher-density occupancies. In my opinion, adding housing, particularly transients’, would negatively affect the neighborhood’s quiet and character. Further, it’s been my experience that transient properties generally are more poorly-maintained than those owner-occupied.
