Confused
I am very confused why is Easttown being included as a priority for East Grand Rapids? Shouldn’t we be focusing on our city and its residents?

Based upon this week’s meeting there are points which all members seemed to agree with. 1. Additional multi-family residential units are not desired. 2. It should not be the responsibility of neighbors to notify the city of buildings which are not being maintained. The city needs to approach the commission with this feedback. 3. Traffic,
With the number of rentals in this area, we really need stronger requirements and enforcement of rental properties. This is in reference to the amount of street parking, maintaining the house, and maintaining the landscape (mowing, weeding, pruning shrubs). The owner of the property needs to be responsible and hire competent landscaping services to maintain.
I had previously requested (during the public meetings held about 2+ years ago) that more continental crosswalks be added across Wealthy, Lake and Robinson between West City Limits and Plymouth but although many new ones have been painted on the pavement in other areas of the City, apparently this neighborhood isn’t deemed that important. Dear Planning Commission, Two areas of concern: 1.) The much-needed updates to Robinson Road have exasperated the speed of vehicles. Early on the city placed speed monitors on Robinson. Please consider returning the monitors. 2.) Many of us near Aquinas worry about the future of the college. It is a beautiful campus that seems to

We value the quiet character of our neighborhoods. I’d prefer that the City regards us as a separate entity from Eastown. Eastown is a wonder area. Would love to see more of a variety in restaurants (please, no more pizza). Sidewalk maintenance and accessibility would be helpful, too. We have children, elderly, persons with disabilities, and the general public who would benefit. Also, any opportunity to add green space or plants or murals for beauty are

Can you clarify how Easttown is included as a part of the East Grand Rapids city master plan? It is my understanding that this is not within the district of EGR. Thank you

I love my neighborhood and especially my street. The neighbors are fantastic. The houses are unique and quirky and old and have not been replaced with trendy houses. We are happily close to Aquinas, Wilcox, Eastown, and Gaslight. It would be great if there were a solution to the flooding that happens at Rosewood and
