My family has lived across from St. Stephen’s for 46 years. I personally grew up in the neighborhood and attended Stephen’s school. I believe and would like to see it remain as such. Some kind of institution for learning or possibly day care. St. Stephen’s has always been family oriented, a place in the neighborhood

The school library is still intact with 10,000 books most of them geared towards elementary age children. Many nonfiction books as well. We have two classrooms and a third has been added to make a space for adult books as well as DVDs. we are opened limited hours. We welcome our neighbors in the St

The school is vacant and other structures under utilized but the playgrounds are vibrant. Future plans for a park and single-family homes mirroring the existing neighborhood housing would be a welcomed addition to the area.

Whatever happens at St Stephens, please do not provide a ton of parking that will increase car traffic on these tiny streets.
I live in this area and have loved the presence of the school and church here. My girls learned to ride their bikes in the small parking lot and to use monkey bars at the playground. We met friends and neighbors at the playgrounds. My daughter practiced on the organ in the sanctuary this summer
