Historic Neighborhood

Greenwood Avenue is such a historical neighborhood. History should be kept. The Greenwood School House (1891 – 1917) resides there as two separate residential homes, but with the same character as when built. The Burleson Hospital compound, with its two historic buildings. the larger building that sets back from the street was built in 1910 as the Miller Hospital and became a world famous medical treatment facility. The smaller building, close to the street, served as the residence of the doctors. Another house on the street has a garage that was the barn for the miniature locomotive at our former Ramona Park. Let’s keep our history – if we can.
