Input from Slamp family

EGR Master plan community input for St. Stephen’s Neighborhood
Random musings from Ken & Sabine Slamp, 644 Gladstone.
We call our community “Gladwood” = Family & Kid Friendly
We moved here in 1997 and while we are not members, St Stephen’s church, the diversity and closeness of the community attracted us. Hopefully the church continues to be a positive force that can be integrated. While there are increasing rental properties, Gladwood doesn’t feel transient. Hopefully we’re able to maintain this appeal.
Keep Gladstone & Rosewood streets One Way
Keep St. Stephen’s Church?

Keep / Relocate playgrounds
Community Area: garden w/greenhouse & compost, picnic & grill area, shelter (gazebo, small pavilion) low-maintenance water feature to cool off at. (Heather Downs / Wilcox Park)
If residential units (condos or single unit homes) consider alley access to hidden from street (underground? Stacked garages?) parking to minimize / reduce street parking and individual driveways, similar to the appeal of Gaslight Village’s Bagley & Croswell area,.
Townhouses / Condos vs Single Family homes (like Crowswell & Bagley)
Account for additional parking: alleyways vs driveways, underground, lift garages, etc.)

Our sincere appreciation for your considerations.
